Short - Lillie Bunch

Lillie “Pearl” Short, 60, of New Richmond, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1976 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayete. She had been ill two months. She was a member of the Linden Baptist Church. She was born at Cave City, Ky on Oct. 28, 1916, a daughter of Almus Melvin and Elizabeth Huff Bunch. She married James Short on June 30, 1939. He died July 24, 1962. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean Goldstein of New Orleans; two sons, Dave of New Richmond and Kenneth of West Lafayette; two sisters, Louvina Chapman of Attica and Jannie Franklin of Cave City; three brothers, Virgil Bunch of Attica, Bill of Glasgow Ky., and Leonard of Cave City; , and five grandchildren. Services in Helms Funeral Home at Linden with the Rev. Herchell Bryant officiating. Burial in New Richmond Cemetery. – jlr
